Had a lovely evening at the BBQ and Stars dining experience. Food was delicious and very well organised. Just a shame it was cloudy and never got to experience Uluru changing colour in the sunset. But we’ll worth going.

Absolutely wonderful! Brilliant views of Uluru as the sun set, with plenty of snacks and drinks including champagne while we watched. Then on to the Outback Barbecue which was amazing. Loads of food, all well cooked and plenty to drink. Highlight was the lights out when we were pitched into absolute darkness while the resident astronomer explained the night sky.

Did this on the first night, so there is plenty of time to do this after arriving in our case from Sydney.

Do not miss this experience, once in a lifetime!

The sunset drinks were great. Well organized with plenty of nibbles.

However I couldn’t rate it higher because when only half the group had eaten they ran out of garden potato and pasta salad. Very poor form for the price. Star talk was great.

The wonderful, rapidly changing colours at sunset were magnificent. The drinks and canapés were great, as were all the staff - friendly, informative and helpful.
The outback BBQ - was OK. I understand that the experience would be diminished considerably if there was more lighting BUT there were a only couple of lights on a very long table -as we were sitting right at one end, we had absolutely no idea what was on our plates or what we were putting in our mouths. Despite that, the food was tasty and well cooked (rare steak included) once you’d worked out what it was. There was no lighting at all to guide the way to the toilets and no light in the toilets - thank goodness for torches on mobile phones.
The staff again were fantastic- and the star talk was so interesting and delivered with great humour.
I feel that a minimum amount of light ( before the darkness for the star talk) for safety purposes would have been beneficial.
It was an interesting, if expensive experience. Thanks to all the staff.
